Weston Squires - High School Athlete Honorees - 2009

A three sport athlete, Weston Squires showed great leadership skills in his high school career as he was selected to be Team Captain in all three sports. He earned varsity letters in football (2 years), basketball (2 years), and track (4 years). In football, Weston earned all-conference honors as a tight-end and was an all-conference scholar athlete in both football and basketball. Weston truly excelled in track where he was all-conference in the 1600 meter run, and the 1600- and 3200- meter relays. He also earned all-state honors in the 1600- and 3200- meter relays. Squires capped his career off with a second place finish at the state meet in the 3200 meter relay. With a 3.5 gpa, Weston was on the honor roll at Mason County Central all four years, received the H.G. Bacon Award for Academic Excellence three years, and was a member of the National Honor Society. Weston also belongs to the Fin & Feather Club and has given a helping hand at basketball events for children.
