Chris Conrad - High School Athlete Honorees - 2010

Chris Conrad earned four letters in track and field, three in cross country and one in soccer. He holds school records in the 400-meter dash and was a member of Mason County Central's state-championship 3,200 meter relay team along with Jake Hernandez, Dan Deller and Jake Lauber. The winning time posted by this team, 7:54.74, was a new school record. He was all-conference and team captain in cross country and track. Conrad received the West Michigan Conference Scholar-Athlete Award and was named a Detroit Free Press Scholar-Athlete. Conrad owned a 4.0 grade point average, both at Mason County Central High School and at West Shore Community College, where he was dual enrolled. He scored a 33 on his ACT, is Phi Theta Kappa, class valedictorian, H.G. Bacon Award recipient, a state finalist for the D.A.R. Good Citizen Award and an M.E.A. Academic All-Star. His other activities include National Honor Society blood drives, working middle school track meets, youth group leadership team, mission trips, H.E.L.P. Ministries and church praise and worship team.
