Fred Horstman - MCSHOF Inductee - 2013

Fred Horstman began the Ludington High School soccer program from scratch and built it into a state powerhouse, including guiding the Orioles to the 2001 Division 3 state championship. In 15 years, Horstman had a record of 258-54-22 as Ludington won 11 conference, 10 district and six regional championships. Before the state title, Ludington was the 1994 and 1997 state runners-up. The 2001 Division 3 Coach of the Year also coached 15 All-State players during his tenure, which also included a handful of seasons for Mason County Eastern. Horstman already is in the Findlay, Ohio, Hall of Fame for holding the school's half mile record.
