Kylie Mount - High School Athlete Honorees - 2016

The 2015-16 Mason County Sports Hall of Fame Female Student-Athlete of the Year is Mason County Central's Kylie Mount. She earned four letters each in basketball and track and field while also earning three letters in volleyball. She set the Mason County Central school record in the high jump while being all-state twice in the 100-meter hurdles and once in the long jump. In 2016 alone, she was the sole athlete at the 38th Meijer West Michigan Invitational all-star track meet to win three individual medals. She was a three-time captain of the Central girls basketballl team and won all-West Michigan Conference honors twice. And she was a captain twice of the volleyball team. A four-year Platinum H.G. Bacon Award recipient at Mason County Central, she has been a member of the National Honor Society, the school's student council president and was the secretary of the Health Occupations Students of America. Mount volunteered with local blood drives and with local youth camps. She will be attending Grand Valley State University in the fall, and she will be competing on the Lakers' track and field teams.
